In 2025, we created the world’s first-ever yogurt tasting as a sustainable tourism and cultural form. Today, our experience is recognized as a leading practice in this sector, leading to invitations to develop the concept in other European and global capitals. At the heart of the experience is an introduction to the authentic heritage of Lactobacillus Bulgaricus in its true homeland, presented through a tasting of five distinct varieties of Bulgarian yogurt paired with traditional and artisanal toppings.

Led by our mama baker and a cherished 10-year-old sourdough, we invite you into our family—featuring sourdough pancake brunches, culture-care workshops, and artisanal sourdough treats accompanying our tastings because sourdough is truly part of the family.
Banitsa Pastry Class
Our banitsa class is led by Mom Nadia, who has spent years experimenting fearlessly in her home kitchen. She transformed the traditional Bulgarian banitsa into delicate, rose-like pastries—a signature creation that now delights our guests and inspires them to be bold in their own cooking. For Bulgarians, banitsa is never just food; it is a profound and cherished tradition passed down through generations, which Mom Nadia now shares first-hand with every guest.
Art, Wine & Communist Heritage
For the first time in Bulgaria, we are opening our private home to share personal perspectives on the communist era. As contemporaries of that regime, we share unfiltered stories about the daily lives of ordinary families behind the Iron Curtain—free from censorship and sugarcoating. Within this intimate setting, you will view original artworks by repressed Bulgarian artists while enjoying a period-inspired menu, paired entirely with boutique Bulgarian wine

Who We Are
Nadya – The Master of Sourdough Alchemy
A former TV journalist captivated by history and a former spiritual consultant, Nadya is now a dedicated mother of young heroes. Over the past decade, she has devoted herself to raising her children while discovering the magic of sourdough.
Today, she nurtures three distinct sourdough cultures originating from different corners of the world, experimenting with them fearlessly like a true alchemist. At our tasting sessions, guests are always treated to Nadya’s homemade masterpieces—delicacies you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
From her signature rose-shaped banitsa and Charlotte cake to rustic crostata, pinsa romana, and her exclusive sourdough pancakes, this is the true essence of authentic home cooking elevated by the ancient art of fermentation. Come taste her experiments and experience their perfection for yourself.
Joan – Founder & Ideologue
Currently studying Political Science at the prestigious Sciences Po in France, Joan is the founder and original ideologue behind Taste History. It all began when he connected his academic presentations with the authentic flavors of his homeland—giving birth to these revolutionary yogurt tastings that now captivates guests from around the world.
With a rare combination of tact, subtlety, and global vision, he continues to guide our strategic direction and activity designs from afar with quiet elegance. Balancing a deep-rooted passion for cultural heritage with the sharp mind of a future diplomat, he shapes our mission while preparing for the grand global stage.
Georgi – The Scholarly Host & Future Academic
An exceptional presenter and future academic, Georgi began hosting our activities at just 16 years old. Guests frequently praise him in their reviews as “far beyond his years in maturity and wisdom.”
Welcoming visitors from all corners of the world into our home, he enchants them with flawless English, deep cultural insights, and a profound appreciation for our traditions. To this day, he seamlessly balances his rigorous studies at the National High School for Ancient Languages and Cultures (NGDEK) with hosting our international guests.
For many travelers, Georgi’s presentations on Bulgarian folklore and folk customs stand out as the most cultural and awe-inspiring part of their journey. Beyond serving you a refreshing bowl of traditional tarator, you might just find him reciting poetry in Latin or Ancient Greek, or explaining the intricate grammar of ancient languages.
